The Book of (Matthew 5:27-30) tells us that “You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart. If your right eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell. And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell.”
When we are tempted with unclean thoughts, and thoughts of our past mistakes, we should remember that Jesus has made a way out of sin for all of us, for it is written, “For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” (Hebrews 4:15-16) Because, at the throne of grace we will be able to receive help. Jesus is always there to deliver, mentor and guide us.
“For in that He Himself has suffered, being tempted, He is able to aid those who are tempted.” Hebrews 2:18. Sweet Precious Jesus.
The Book of Galatians (5:16-17) states that “Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish.” “For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the LORD, please walk as children of Light.” (Ephesians 5:8)
(Galatians 5:19) also declares that “Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness lewdness.” “Put on the LORD Jesus Christ and make no provision for the flesh to fulfil its lust.” (Romans 13:14)
TESTIMONY:
I do know a sister whose husband cheated on her for several years with other women, then in the year 2019, as she returned from a mission trip, The LORD sent this sister in her dreams to beat down one of the women whom her husband is committing adultery with, yes, the sister’s husband was very disappointed and angry, but the fear of the LORD fell upon this woman. Only The LORD knows if they came together again. Our good Father who knows and sees all things in the secret will always come through for His own, for He is Holy and very Faithful.
Brothers and sisters, practicing self-control is very important, (fruits of the Spirit) Paul encourages us that we should “Flee sexual immorality because every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body.” 1st Corinthians 6:18)
We should honor GOD with our body and mouth, for it is written, “Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from GOD, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore, glorify GOD in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.” 1 Corinthians 6:19-20).
Yes, Jesus Christ bought us back from Satan’s territory with His shed blood on the cross, we belong to Him now, and we are His responsibility.
We should also sanctify ourselves daily for holiness.
