Apostle Paul advices us to “be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might, because of Satan and his agents, also to “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for us.” (1st Thessalonians 5:16-18).
Apostle Peter also advices us to “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.” (1st Peter 5:8).
“Sober” means to be (mentally alert and self-controlled).
“Vigilant” means (watchful, awake and alert).
Yes, God is all-powerful and cares for us, His children, we should not to relax spiritually, but be alert always, because Satan is relentless and wants to destroy us. We must do our part, because the devil defames character. “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” (James 4:7) “and give no opportunity to the devil.” (Ephesians 4:27).
Brothers and sisters, for your protection, please “Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual host of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the whole armour of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, take the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” (Ephesians 6:11-17) Amen!
