Do not Grow Weary in Doing Good.

Brethren, the heart of Jesus’ teaching is love, and He has commanded us to do good and love those who hate us, those who gossip about us, those who put us down, those who abuse us verbally, those who are ungrateful, and those who does not regard us. Jesus will surely repay us, for He is extremely faithful. This is love.

For it is written, “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” (Galatians 6:9) (NIV Have a pure heart, a kind heart, a giving heart, and a tender loving heart just like Christ our Lord. Love is the bond of perfection, and it is well pleasing to our Father.

Again, Jesus commands us to “Love our enemies, do good to those who hate us, bless those who curse us, pray for those who mistreat us. If someone slaps us on one cheek, turn to them the other also. If someone takes your coat, do not withhold your shirt from them. Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back. Do to others as you would have them do to you.

If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners love those who love them. And if you do good to those who are good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do that, and if you lend to those from whom you expect repayment, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, expecting to be repaid in full.

But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High, because He is kind to the ungrateful and wicked, and be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.” (Luke 6:27-36).

Surrender and submit your heart to Jesus who love you so much and carry the cross to buy you back from Satan’s territory, bruised body, nailed while still alive on the cross, and died a gruesome death, but He is alive because He conquered death.

This message is the heart of Jesus, a few years back, I visited a sister who was sick, three times I cooked some food and even bought more food for her children because she was unable to cook, was this sister grateful? Was she thankful? No. Did she repay me evil for good? Yes. But I did surrender all to Jesus.

I was sick and this same sister failed to call or visit me, I say it is well, nothing was expected from her. I do good because as a Christian, it is required of us. (Love and do good). Please remember not to judge anyone but pray for them.

Amen!
