Temptations and Jesus.

Jesus Christ put on flesh for the sake of mankind, He took on flesh in the desert, He took on flesh to suffer hunger and thirst, He put on flesh to be tempted, and He was led by the Spirit to the wilderness for our sakes. (Matthew 4:1-11)

“We must put on Jesus Christ the risen Savior so as to quench the lust of the flesh.” (Romans 13:14). Please do not take anything that is pleasing to you, thinking that it will satisfy and make you happy, but it will not. We must resist the temptations of our flesh, for example, sexual lust, food, drinks and much more. Please do not let your desires to take over your flesh.

Jesus is always there to aid us during temptations because He went through similar situations.

We must always ask the Lord, humbly ask whatever we desire, (with a humble heart) and He will do it for us.

God uses temptations in our lives to teach us, to strengthen us, and that we might be able to resist the evil ones when next we are tempted.

When you pray and fix your eyes on Jesus, you might be on the mountain alone with Jesus Christ. Imagine what Jesus did for Peter, James and John on the mountain, He can do the same for you. God’s glory and His voice.

Peter told Jesus, Lord no, you will not suffer many things, and You will not die. The disciples did not know the glorious end, they failed to understand, so Jesus went to the mountain so they can see the end and be strengthened. They saw Moses, Elijah and heard the voice of God Almighty.

The beautiful, glorious end, Moses was in the Old Testament, Elijah was a prophet and in the Old Testament, and our Lord Jesus Christ is in the New Testament. (The Transfiguration) The end of the road, His Glory, the end of the goal, His beautiful Glory.

We must also fix our eyes on Jesus during prayers, because in that moment one might see the glory of God, alone with Him on the mountain. SWEET.
