Death in Adam Life in Christ

(Romans 5:12-21) (NIV)

God is love, 1 John 4:7-21 declares it, and Jesus Christ is the image of God who put on flesh for the sake of our sins, that mankind be justified (cleared, acquitted, be declared righteous) Mankind also have redemption (buying back, free) through Jesus Christ, through His suffering. He bought us back from Satan’s territory at a “high price” (1 Corinthians 6:20; 1 Corinthians 7:23) we now belong to Jesus Christ. Brothers and sisters, we are His responsibility.

What a manner of love.

Vv. 19-20 tells us “For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the One man the many will be made righteous. The law was brought in so that the trespass might increase. But where sin increased, grace increased even more.” So, when one sins, if one believes, grace abounds/increases (forgiveness).

We are washed with the blood of the Lamb, sanctified, Redeemed, and justified. (acquitted/forgiven) at a “high price” because of His suffering. Jesus met every requirement in the life of mankind, He paid it all, they are cancelled and dismissed, and has reconciled man to God, through Him we now have access to God.

Yes, forgiveness of sin and access to God is provided through One Person Jesus Christ, although Jews believe if mankind was ever to have any access to God, if mankind ever was to be right with God, if mankind ever was to enjoy forgiveness of sins, he would have to reach a certain level of spiritual achievement. (salvation by works or works righteousness) but Jesus has done it all for us, He has reconciled man to God, He gave mankind life.

Adam was disobedient to God thus mankind sinned; but Jesus said yes to God and saved mankind. Apostle Paul calls it “Jesus Type” We are born in Adam but now in Christ Jesus, therefore, just as sin entered the world through the first man called Adam, life came through Jesus Christ, the last Adam.

Although the laws against sin produced more lawbreakers, (unrighteousness). Yet, Jesus was obedient to save mankind because He willingly surrendered Himself to be whipped, to suffer hunger and thirst, to be stripped naked, to be nailed whilst still alive, crucified, and much more.

“Jesus has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love.” (Colossians 1:13) (NKJV) “Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.” (Colossians 2:15) Which is the cross.

Thank You Lord Jesus.

(Romans 5:12-21) (NIV)

“To be sure, sin was in the world before the law was given, but sin is not charged against anyone’s account where there is no law. Nevertheless, death reigned from the time of Adam to the time of Moses, even over those who did not sin by breaking a command, as did Adam, who is a pattern of the one to come.

But the gift is not like the trespass, for if many died by the trespass of one man call Adam, how much more did God’s grace and the gift that came by the grace of the One man, Jesus Christ, overflow to many! Nor can the gift of God be compared with the result of one man’s sin: The judgment followed one sin and brought condemnation, but the gift followed many trespasses and brought justification. For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God’s abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the One man, Jesus Christ!

Consequently, just as one trespass resulted in condemnation for all people, so also one righteous act resulted in justification and life for all people. For just as through the disobedience of one man many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the One man many will be made righteous.

The law was brought in so that the trespass might increase, but where sin increased, grace increased even more, so that, just as sin reigned in death, so also grace might reign through righteousness to bring eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Blessings!!
