Strongman/Goliath (1 Samuel 17)
The story of David and Goliath informs us how God fights the battles of His children. The country of Philistine constantly taunted and battled against Israel, but the Lord always delivered them into the hands of Israel.
For example, 1 Samuel 17:36 tells us how David was eager to fight Goliath whom according to David “defied the armies of the living God.” V.16 says, “For forty days the Philistine (Goliath) came forward every morning and evening and took his stand.” David was not discouraged, and he never gave up. V.48 tells us, “As the Philistine moved closer to attack David, he ran quickly towards the battle line to meet him.” So, brothers and sisters, when it comes to the devil, we must be very fast in speaking the word of God, because he moves faster than the speed of light.
The giant can cause you to be afraid, he (taunted) provoked or challenged and insulted the children of Israel, and they were dismayed and terrified.
The giant steal finances, one might ask how? He can cause one to buy clothes, shoes, and other items that are not really needed, and after using them for a couple or more times, then you would decide to give them away. The giant can even cause family members and others to con you for money.
He causes divisions/separation between families, marriages, and friends.
He can taunt and instill fear, concerns, worries, verbal and physical abuse, and unhappiness in humans.
He causes muteness, and sleeplessness.
He also causes sexual lust.
He can also cause one to be blinded, (spiritual blindness).
Testimonies of the strongman (Goliath, Giant) in my life.
While living in Shamburg Illinois, I saw a giant in-between the clothes section of a store in the mall, not knowing what that meant or who he was, I decided to ask a brother in the Church who willingly said, “he is the giant in your life.” I suffered financial losses greatly.
Again, in British Columbia, Canada I saw the giant pointing to the direction of the clothes department and said “go there, and not the health food store” I suffered dizziness due to loss of blood, so I decided to take organic cocoa which helped me in a great way. The giant knew the cocoa would help me, so he was extremely angry and said, stop buying cocoa, but clothes. Why? one might ask, because most of the time, you buy clothes and give them away after wearing them a few times. (financial waste).
Again, whilst living in Texas, the giant I saw, caused unhappiness in my life, verbal abuse, hatred, my husband suffered sexual lust, and I also suffered financial waste from family members. I can go on forever, please pray for me.
God recently revealed and explained to me what the giants can do and who they are, and they are our enemies.
We must pray that the Lord deliver us from giants (Goliaths, strongman) and only God can open our eyes to see the giants. We must humbly pray and ask God to thrust him (enemies) out of our lives and say Destroy, in accordance with His word in the book of Deuteronomy 33: 25-27.
