The Book of Luke 18:9-14 tells us that two men went to the Temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector.
The Pharisee—signifies- a proud man, wealthy, wise, condescending, arrogant, rude, and deceitful. He is probably greedy and a liar.
While praying, the Pharisee who is full of pride said, I am not like other men, extortioners (take something by force) unjust, adulterers (The Pharisee probably has a mistress somewhere) or even as this tax collector.
The Pharisee said, I fast and pay tithes. (first class pride) When you look down on others, condescending, proud, your fasting and tithes will never be accepted. Please repent and humble yourselves, because The LORD hates pride.
The Scripture tells us that, “but the poor humble man, in his humility, raised his eyes towards heaven-beat his breast saying, be merciful unto me a sinner, he acknowledged his sins. (humility).
-He said, please have mercy-
-He wept-
-And The Lord in His mercy that is so rich, and love that is great, answered the poor man’s prayers.
The book of Proverbs 21:4 declares that God hates pride. “A haughty look, a proud heart. (He cannot stand).
Psalm 101:5 tells us that “The one who has a haughty look and a proud heart, him I will not endure.” Proverbs 6:16-17 also says “These six things that The Lord hates. A proud look, and “He who is greatest among you shall be your servant. And whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.” (Matthew 23:11-12).
Please humble yourselves because pride is of the devil, humble yourselves so that The LORD can lift you up.
I have a testimony about how a sister who served a family that she visited and did it with great joy.
-she swept their floors, washed their dishes.
-Took great care of their little children, but were they grateful? No. Because of pride and arrogance. Condescending individuals. She wept to The LORD and He said, do good, because that is what servants of GOD does. The LORD taught this sister to do good, even though some will never appreciate any kindness and goodness shown to them. Please continue doing good and The LORD will repay you in due time.
Proud Pastors:
-While preaching-bragged about what they have, for example, how many cars they have.
-How expensive their clothes and shoes are (10,000 dollars)
-Bought expensive cars for their 9 to 10 years old children.
-Pastors who have allowed red carpets to be rolled out for them.
-Pastors who uses the pulpit to abuse members of the Church. Please do not do such things, be careful because you will be humbled, disgraced, and your tables turned upside-down. The LORD will put you down.
In conclusion, for your protection from the evil ones, please “Put on Our LORD Jesus Christ so as not to lust the things of the flesh.” (Galatians 3:27 and Romans 13:14)
Galatians 5:16 also declares that we should walk in The Spirit, so as not to fulfill the lust of the flesh.”
Please pray and walk in the Spirit because of temptations.
(Job 1:10). Please plead the Blood of Jesus Christ all over yourself, your household, your family far and near, your finances, works of your hands, provisions and possessions. There is great power in the blood of Jesus. Great cleansing power, and protection. BLESSINGS!!!!!
