The Book of 1st Corinthians 13:4-8 tells us that “Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails.”
Do we truly have this kind of love towards each other? This kind of love that does not come with jealousy, gossiping and anger?
This kind of love that comes from the heart is true. Washing each other’s feet. The kind that provides for one another, cares for one another in sickness and in health.
The Book of Corinthians 13:13 tells us that “Abide in faith, hope, and love, these three but the greatest is love.” “You shall love your neighbor as yourself. Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore, love is the fulfillment of the law.” Romans 13:9-10)
GOD is Love, and Our LORD Jesus was crucified for sake of love. Can we love like Jesus? Forgive like Him? Be merciful like Him, be compassionate just like Him, do good and be kind just like Jesus? “Let no one seek his own, but each one the other’s well-being.” (1st Corinthians 10:24).
The Book of Philippians 2:4 also tells us that “Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.”
“Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.” Galatians 6:2) This is true love. Will you walk away when your brother whom you love is in trouble? Sick? Makes a mistake? Offends you? Will you stop talking to him? If he apologizes will you forgive him? Give him food? Lend him money?
PRAYER:
LORD Jesus, please transform our hearts to love like you. AMEN!
Thank You LORD Jesus
