The Fountain of Living Waters.

Samaritan Woman.

Jesus asked the Samaritan woman, please give Me water to drink, for He was weary from a long journey. The message here is Jesus Christ is the Fountain of Living Waters, the Fountain that springs up into eternal life. (the Greek word for springing water is running water). A gift from Jesus.

“Whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him/her will never thirst, because the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.” (John 4:14) whoever drinks of that water, receives eternal life.

God wants us, His children, to drink of Him, day by day, the Fountain of Living waters because He is the source of our life and our being, day by day. (Jeremiah 2:13) also reveals that God is the Fountain of Living waters.  Jesus offers a fountain of flowing Living water designed to satisfy the deepest longings of your soul in Himself.  Jesus’ offer of salvation accomplished through His death and resurrection to atone for the sins of all humanity is offered to us. Take a deep drink from this Living water and find eternal life.

For example, during the Jewish Feast of Tabernacles, Jesus dramatically interrupted the temple ritual. He stood and cried out, “If anyone is thirsty, let Him come to Me and drink” (John 7:37). Jesus described it simply. Faith in Him will quench our thirst. “He who believes in Me, as the Scripture says, “From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.” (John 7:38–39) Jesus goes beyond satisfying us; His life overflows.

Brothers and sister, please return to the Lord, and take Him as the Fountain of Living waters by calling on His name, thanking Him, rejoicing in Him, praying to Him, and praising Him, drawing water with rejoicing from the springs of salvation. Hallelujah!

It is the joy of the Lord that is our strength (Neh. 8:10); we can testify that, when we praise the Lord, He becomes our strength.

The Lamb that is in the midst of the throne shepherds and guides us to springs of water of life (Rev. 7:17); the Lamb-God shepherds us, coming down to our level to shepherd us, to guide us to the fountain of living waters for us to drink of Him. What a manner of Love.

Hallelujah! in His presence there is fullness of joy (Psalm 16:11), and when we are in His presence, we have the salvation of His countenance (Psalm 42:5), for He is the salvation of our countenance (Psalm 42:11).

Out of Him and through Him and to Him are all things; to Him be glory forever and ever. (Rom. 11:36).

Jesus also told the Samaritan woman when she queried Him about Jerusalem as the only place of worship. Jesus responded that “the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” (John 4:23-24).

Truth is something that is not false, full of integrity, and Scripture teaches that truth is at the core of the character of God. (John1:14)

He is the only Way and the Truth. (John 14:6).

His word is truth. (Colossians 1:5).

And as Christians, we are required to walk in truth. (Ephesians 5:9).

The Truth dwells in us. (John 14:7;1st John 3:19). Christians are those who know the truth, we must worship sincerely in truth, and live lives of integrity or truthfulness.

Amen!
