Love is Kind.
Brothers and sisters, if one has a gift of prophecy and has no love in his or her heart, that individual is nothing. If one understands all mysteries and all knowledge and has no love in his heart, that individual is nothing, if one has faith that can move mountains and have no love in his heart, that individual is nothing, though one feeds the poor but have no love, it profits nothing. (1 Corinthians 13:1-3).
Love conquers all evil, for Moses came with the law but Jesus came with love, which is the end of the law.
Are you wise? Do not be deceitful but have true love in your heart because true love suffers long and is edifying, kind, and not abusive.
Yes, “Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails.” (1st Corinthians 13:4-8).
Do we truly have this kind of love towards each other? This kind of love that does not come with jealousy, gossiping, abuse, hate and anger?
This kind of love that comes from the heart and is true? Washing each other’s feet? The kind that provides for one another, cares for one another in sickness and in health.
The Book of 1 Corinthians 13:13 tells us that “Abide in faith, hope, and love, these three but the greatest is love.” “You shall love your neighbor as yourself. Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore, love is the fulfillment of the law.” (Romans 13:9-10)
God is Love, and Our Lord Jesus was crucified for sake of love. Can we love like Jesus? Forgive like Him? Be merciful like Him? be compassionate just like Him? Do good and be kind just like Jesus? “Let no one seek his own, but each one the other’s well-being.” (1st Corinthians 10:24).
The Book of Philippians 2:4 also tells us that “Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.”
“Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.” (Galatians 6:2) This is true love. Will you hurt your sister or brother by lying or stealing from her?
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, please transform our hearts to love like you. AMEN!
Thank You Lord Jesus.
