John 15:1-7
Brothers and sisters, In this passage, Jesus is relaying to us, He is the True Vine, and God the Father is the Vinedresser. To bear much fruit in our personal lives or ministry, we must abide in Jesus, we are commanded to abide in Him.
Jesus will remove every unfruitful branch in us if we give Him a chance, if we let go of our desires and follow Him in truth, let go of the cares of the world because these are considered dead. But, for the branch that bears fruit, He will remove all things that stop it from flourishing, that inhibits spiritual growth.
Israel was the vine of God’s planting but failed to bear proper fruit, this caused the Lord to be distressed, but we must abide in Jesus and He in us, for without Him we cannot do anything because He is the True Vine. Let His light shine upon you so mankind can see your good works and glorify the Father in Heaven.
Be happy with what Jesus has given you to do, do not be angry over someone else’s gift. There are many gifts, different gifts, but One Body.
Jesus’ believers (Disciples) incorporated (united) in Him, the True Vine. They trusted Him, hoped in Him, and loved Him. Jesus is the true fulfillment of the Vine.
The new generation of God’s people originated from Christ, organically united to Him as branches emanating (spread out from) from the Vine. (Jesus). So, we must abide in Him and He in us. Jesus confirms this in a parable, “A man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard, and he came seeking fruit on it and found none.” (Luke 13:6)
Why? Please do not forsake Jesus, for without Him we cannot do anything, Our only True Love, our First Love. Proclaim His goodness to others, His Faithfulness, Mercy, and love which is great towards us, “the True Bread from heaven.” (John 6:32). And He is the Light of the world, shine upon us mankind and transform us radically from Saul to Paul OH! Lord, we pray.
Jesus Christ is there for us, to console /comfort those who mourn, He heals broken heart, binds up every wound, and deposits His courage, boldness, love, peace, joy, and gladness in hearts. Hallelujah!! When we are sad, we should praise to relieve heaviness, (sadness) He is our deliverer, our Savior, our healer, and our redeemer.
He is always there for us, to listen. He said, “Pour your heart to Me.” (Psalm 62:8) What a manner of love, He also said, “cling to Me” (Jeremiah 13:11) hold on to Him, please do not let go, He will never grow weary of you because of His love which is great towards us.
Please pray with His Word because He is the Word, seek Him, Ask, and Knock, for He will surely answer. Prayer is you, reading His Word back to Him with humility, meekness, and from your heart. He will never say no to His Word.
Please let go of deceitfulness.
Please be humble, total humility for the Lord hates pride look, we must also love because love plays a big role for the Lord to abide to you, you must love the Lord, do good, love your neighbors, love all mankind, even those that do not look like you, we are also commanded to love.
Have a heart like Jesus, a compassionate heart, a merciful and caring heart that truly loves. Be obedient to the Lord for He is intensely Holy. He is a Very God and a Very God who is near to us, yet distance.
V. 4 says “Abide in Me and I in you; as the branch cannot bear fruit in itself unless it abides in the Vine, neither can you unless you abide in Me.”
We must abide in Jesus, love Him dearly for without Him, we are totally lost in this wicked evil wilderness we call home. Let go of your old ways, and allow the old man in us to be crucified, that old man which grows corrupt, full of deceit, lies, lust, pride and so on. And be renewed, for our Lord is Holy. “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” (2nd Corinthians 5:17).
V. 7 tells us, “If you abide in Me, and My Words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done.” “Thou shalt also desire a thing and it shall be established onto thee: and light shall shine upon thy ways.” Job 22:28)
Jesus wants us to pray with The Word, to read the Word, and the condition of prevailing prayer is to abide in Christ with your whole heart Who is The Word, the True Vine. Jesus said, “Amba if you love Me, read the Word because I am the Word” (ambaministries.com).
Brothers and sisters, praying with the Word of Jesus Christ keeps the prayer conformed to the Will of God. He cannot say no to His Word. Prayer is you, reading His Word back to Him. Jesus’ disciples paid great attention to His teachings, the disciples also asked Him questions, Jesus taught them, and they absorbed His teaching and prayed in His will.
“I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. You are already clean because of the words which I have spoken to you. Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. “I am the Vine; you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.” (John 15:1-7) (NKJV).
Praise The LORD. Please pray for world peace.
