Brothers and sisters, why did the Preacher say Vanity, Vanity? The NIV Bible interprets the word as meaningless. His wealth. King Solomon is the richest man on earth, I say he is, because no one has surpassed him. But he said, it is all meaningless. Why? Please think about this for a moment. People came all around the world to listen to his wisdom, the richest man on earth King Solomon had everything, he was given gold, silver, diamonds and more- but he said it is all Vanity. (meaningless).
A Testimony:
A very wealthy man died of an illness and went straight to hell, well, hell has different stages or levels, with an extreme smell. He said the devil tried to drag him into the lowest part of the pit, but he cried out, Jesus I am sorry. Meanwhile, his family and friends prayed for a miracle. According to him, two angels appeared and escorted him to Jesus, and the Lord asked for his book of life. Jesus looked at it, and it was only one page. Why? Because he did not do any good, no kindness, he did not help the poor, but sweet Jesus gave him another chance, because he said, I am sorry.
Brothers and sisters, your wealth will not take you to the kingdom of God. You must do good, share your bread, be kind, no more lies and deceit, visit the widows, visit those who are sick, and much more. Jesus will surely reward you.
Please think about heaven, because earth is temporary, we are just passing by or through.
Ecclesiastes is the saddest book in the Bible, it is the key that opens the joy and sadness. The wealth of this world is like a passing wind, you came with nothing, and you will surely leave with nothing. Will your friends be always there?
Please bless the house of God.
Bless missionaries.
Bless Servants of God.
Bless the widows and orphans, and do not only look out for yourself but others. Jesus said, a new commandment I give to you, that you love your neighbors as yourself. For “God is love” (1 John 4:8) so we must love one another as God loves us because “love is the end of the law.” (Romans 13:10).
Build up treasures in heaven where there are no thieves.
“The words of the Preacher, the son of David, king in Jerusalem. Vanity of vanities says the Preacher; Vanity of vanities, all is vanity. (meaningless).
What profit has a man from all his labor in which he toils under the sun? One generation passes away, and another generation comes; But the earth abides forever. The sun also rises, and the sun goes down, and hastens to the place where it arose. (Ecclesiastes 1: 1-5) (NKJV).
Vanity, Vanity. (Please focus on Jesus because It is all meaningless without Jesus).
Much blessings and peace multiplied to you and your family.
Amen.
