Sacrifice.
To sacrifice means to give from what you need to those who have a real need, and in that way, you share from your heart, and you will find your heart rewarded. The Lord will surely reward you.
Please pray with love and give without grumbling, for it is better to be a baby than to be a man with little love in his heart for his brothers and sisters.
Embracing a lifestyle of true generosity is difficult. We all tend to live close-fisted. We are suspicious of anyone who encourages us to give away what is ours, but Jesus encourages us to be generous and He is motivating us with the promise of reward. God does not want you to give out of fear or guilt, but to live a charitable life out of faith.
God is both gracious and compassionate, (always moved with pity, and emotions) that is love so great. As we choose to follow Him, He beckons us to follow His example and be kind and open-hearted.
God’s Promise:
Blessed is he who
considers the poor;
The Lord will deliver him in time of trouble.
The Lord will preserve him and keep him alive,
And he will be blessed on
the earth;
The Lord will not deliver him to the will of his enemies.
The Lord will
strengthen him on his bed of illness;
You will sustain him on his sickbed. (Psalm 41:1-3) (NKJV)
Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” (Luke 6:37-38) (NKJV)
“There is one who gives yet increases more; And there is one who withholds more than is right, but it leads to poverty. The generous soul will be made rich, and he who waters will also be watered himself.” (Proverbs 11:24-25)
Brothers and sisters, please share your bread with the poor, for the poor will always dwell among the rich.
Amen!
