The book of John 13:1-17 declares that Jesus washed His disciple’s feet, but I will focus on (verses 3-5) that says Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into His hands, and that He had come from GOD and was going to GOD, rose from supper and laid aside His garments, took a towel and girded Himself. After that, He poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples’ feet, and to wipe them with the towel with which He was girded.”
Jesus wanted His disciples to wash each other’s feet, meaning:
-To lift each other up in their weaknesses.
-To visit sisters and brothers in the body of Christ who need help, cook and clean for them.
-Baby-sit if needed, even though some of them will never say thank you, will not appreciate you.
-Encourage each other and do not put anyone down.
-Remind your brethren the Word of GOD concerning that situation they are going through.
-Build your brethren up and do not tear down.
-Walk in unity and love with one another. No gossiping.
-Love and be kind—always show kindness and forgiveness.
-Be compassionate, if your brethren struggle in any area, please guide and mentor him or her if possible, because there is great joy when you help others, and in so doing, you are building up yourself also.
-Please visit the widows, the orphans, and the poor. Provide for them if you can.
The book of 1st Corinthians 10:24 tells us that “Let no one seek His own, but each one the other’s well-being.”
Philippians 2:4 also says “Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.”
I know a sister in the body of Christ, who had a mentor she loved so much. The mentor hosts a Bible study group in his home. One of the sisters in the group had a wedding and invited everyone in the group but left this one sister out. Now, the sister’s mentor and the other members of the group also failed to inform her of the wedding. So, when the sister found out, she was heart-broken because no one cared for her. (not about the invite, but to let her know that the next Bible study will be cancelled because of the wedding. (no one informed the sister, and she found out later) and that mentor was an elder of a Church. Some people will not like you because of what you carry, and because you are more anointed than them.
I do know people even in the body of Christ (the Church) who are never happy to see others’ progress, whether spiritually or in the secular world. They ask questions, Why her? Why him? but I am more educated than her, I am more educated than him. I am wiser than her, or I have been a Christian long before she accepted Christ.
In all these situations, stories, The LORD continue to lift this sister up.
What will Jesus do? Jesus visited me and said that the situation would have been handled differently. Our Savior is full of Love, kind and compassionate. Jesus would have called the sister aside to Himself and explain the situation lovingly. Jesus will never leave any of His disciples behind without informing.
People will torment you because of your gift as a servant of GOD, will be angry, will gossip, rather than working with you and encouraging you for the sake of the kingdom, they will tear you down.
We should be united for the sake of Jesus Christ Our Sweet LORD and Savior.
Pastors should be united also, helping each other and walking in love for the sake of the Cross.
The LORD visited me and said. “We are no longer in Satan’s territory, we belong to Jesus Christ who has bought us back with His shed blood on the Cross.” We are His now, a new creation, please let go of the old man. Ask the Lord to help you. (1st Corinthians15:31) that angry old man, full of lies and deceit, gossip, pride and so on.
(Job 1:10). Please plead the Blood of Jesus Christ all over yourself, your household, your family far and near, your finances, works of your hands, provisions and possessions. There is great power in the blood of Jesus. Great cleansing power, and protection. BLESSINGS!!!!!
